Lecturer Pool for School of Engineering AY 22-23 Lastly, the individual works with local businesses, city and county offices, and others to make internship opportunities available and to confirm that potential placement sites adhere to safety, anti-discrimination/harassment, and academic standards set by both the Chancellor’s Office and the campus. The individual collaborates with faculty and programs (like General Studies) that wish to incorporate internships/career development into their curriculum. The Coordinator also works with colleges and departments to ensure staff and faculty adhere to Chancellor’s Office and campus policies regarding oversight, payments, academic credit and other compliance concerns (such as S4). This individual will facilitate student internship workshops, outreach and other related activities. This position works with students who need help in finding an internship, preparing themselves for the workforce, and/or understanding the regulations that are required for internships at Cal State East Bay. Reporting to the Director of Career Education and Internships in consultation with the Executive Director of Academic Advising and Career Education (AACE) and working as part of the AACE team, the Internship Coordinator is the primary contact for our undergraduate and graduate students, departments/colleges, and potential external internship sites.
